TT mania left me relatively unscathed, but I did like them as a band. On the whole I am not really a pop music kinda gal, but there are a couple of exceptions and I would count them as one.

Ferry Cross the Mersey does indeed tend to get used quite a lot around Liverpool FC too. I think that the meaning you attach to songs is very much to do with the context too. I've only ever really associated them with football, so they tend not to move me. If I heard someone else singing them in a different context, I may feel differently.

I've not gotten around to seeing 24 Hour Party People yet. [livejournal.com profile] licklepickle got me Canterbury Tales and Crime and Punishment for my birthday and I didn't get see those yet either. I also need a copy of Miranda and Boston Kickout and I think my Simm collection is complete :)
