I don't want to be noticed by speshul peepel. I want them to stay out of my sandpit and stop with the superiority complex already. Fandom is not a hierarchy, nor does it exist to validate you or make up for your low self-worth.

And yes, I am enjoying the audiobooks for what they are. They're entertaining. I'm not going through them because I want to be able to tick them off and show how well-versed I am in "obscure canon". After all, I am led to believe that Doctor Who is an entertainment show and not a way to one-up your fellow human beings? Maybe that's my unpopular view.
