Torchwood drabble fun

I would normally post requested drabbles in the comments, but I wanted to keep these somewhere that I could refer others to. Yes, that's right. I am a comment whore. So sue me...

Pairing: Captain Jack/Clone!Ten, Ten
Rating: G, hint of angst
Prompt: [livejournal.com profile] 51stcenturyfox asked for "Mistaken Identity" for this pairing.

Rounding the corner of a distant TARDIS corridor, Jack halted to avoid bodily collision with the Doctor, striding purposefully towards him. The way the Doctor looked at him raised Jack’s eyebrow, silently questioning the change he detected in that look. The usual edge of wariness was absent from the gaze, leaving Jack uncharacteristically speechless.

As his lips parted to speak, an identical figure joined the Doctor that faced him, subtle signs of unease painted on familiar features. Sighing, Jack summoned his best grin and, clapping them both on the shoulder, passed between them with all the nonchalance he could muster.

Pairing: Bastard!Jack/Gwen Cooper
Rating: PG, maybe. Nothing too hardcore
Prompt: [livejournal.com profile] karaokegal requested this pairing, with the prompt "save a prayer".

This had been inevitable since the first time Jack laid eyes on her, but so far he’d held back. He couldn’t explain why in words that would make sense to anyone but himself. Jack knew Gwen wanted him: hell, who didn’t? He’d denied himself in ways he hadn’t felt the need to do with anyone before her.

But in that instant she looked so alone, all thought of repercussions dissolved. As Gwen wrapped her arms around his neck, his hands on her waist, Jack knew their need for each other was finally equal, just this once.

Absolution was tomorrow’s affair.

Pairing: Gwen Cooper/Ianto Jones
Rating: G, with a side-order of angst
Prompt: [livejournal.com profile] cruentum requested something on this pairing for the challenge (and it was quite the challenge!) with the prompt"Ianto, I need that file" Not for Gwen-haters or Ianto fangirls, really.

Pacing between workstations, Gwen wondered how many places a file could hide. Although she'd tried to keep on top of things, she lacked Jack's intuitive knowledge of the Hub. Since his disappearance, it felt like she was trying to hold onto smoke sometimes.

“Ianto! I really need that file!”

“No need to shout” Ianto grumbled, appearing suddenly and slapping the file onto the desk.

Gwen turned and regarded him with a mix of pity and irritation. Jack's departure had hit him hard, but sometimes she itched to remind him Jack had left them all and not just him.

Hey loving that, seriously do. No worries, that very very much meshes with my interpretation of Ianto and shades of how I'd write people's reaction to him, very cool to see that. Thanks!

I'm glad you liked it. I got the initial feeling from the prompt that it was likely to be something light-hearted, but went a little bit dark once I got going.

The usual edge of wariness was absent from the gaze.

Awesome. I could totally see the look on his face. And the Doctor's. And poor Jack's.

Not much throws him for a loop but he'd be fighting off the OMG :o.

Loved it!

I conjured up a visual for you? Awesome! Glad you liked it :)

Excellent! Bastard!Jack at his self-aware finest. :)

And YAY to Gwen for even thinking about slapping down emo-boy.

I'm pleased you thought so. There needs to be more Bastard!Jack. Everywhere, at all times :)

I've got a "Jack in the 50's" fic going up tonight. He's pretty much Bastard!Jack there.

Oooh, lovely. I'm also a very big fan of the fifties. If I could have chosen an era in which to have been a teen/ twentysomething, it probably would have been then. My shape is from the wrong time!

Well, it's the early 50's. Not a great time for Jack to be Jack.

Very nice. I think I like the first one the best.

Thanks for reading and commenting. I'm glad you liked it. I was fond of that one too. I can picture the look of hope wilting on Jack's face...
