Trouble is, I don't know what to write about at the moment. I have an original idea that feels novel-length, or at least a long short story, but it feels overwhelming. I don't know where to start it. The other problem is, I know it won't satisfy my lust for instant gratification and I need that right now.

So, there's only one thing for it. I'm throwing the floor open to you. Inspire me with a prompt to write a drabble or ficlet and I'll see what I can rustle up.

Just so that we're clear, a drabble is EXACTLY 100 words. No more; no less. I'll endeavour to stick to a drabble but reserve the right to run to a ficlet of 100-500 words if I get carried away. I will gladly provide you with a fic of your prompting (or several, should the fancy take you) for any of the following fandoms or pairings. I'll even attempt something original for you if you give me a prompt without a pairing or fandom. A word, a thought, a scenario, a song. Anything. Just something to start the creative ball rolling.

Oh, and if you have any particular objection to smut, let me know. My mind tends to wander *points at username*

Follow the cut for a list of all the fandoms and pairings I can think of that I might be able to tackle )

I may take a while to get around to them [depending what the uptake is like] but I will write something for every prompt. Feel free to pimp this out to anyone else who you think might be interested, and if you're on my f-list and have never come by and said hi, don't let that stop you from wading in. Requests are welcomed from all-comers.

Title: Compromise
Pairing: Kirk/Spock
Fandom: Star Trek [I have the new film in mind, but I don't really think it matters]
Words: 100
Summary: Kirk likes to take risks
Writer's notes: This came about from a prompt by [livejournal.com profile] betweenthebliss, who suggested Kirk/Spock; Compromise. It's my first foray into Trek as a writer, so I hope it comes off okay. Comments and concrit would be very welcome indeed.

Gah! These are horribly late! I asked for prompts about a month ago, and I've finally gotten around to them.

Two drabbles here, both relatively gen, one is slightly slashy if you squint. Apologies to [livejournal.com profile] cruentum and [livejournal.com profile] alba17 that you had to wait so long for these.

'Misunderstood', Mitchell/Owen, for cruentum )

'University', Mitchell/George, for alba17 )

filthgoblin: (Default)
Pairing: Arthur Eddington/William Marston
Rating: PG 13
Prompt: for this pairing, [livejournal.com profile] terraswrath suggested "kiss the one you love with reckless abandonment"
Writer's notes: Terra, my love, I'm so sorry...

Reckless Abandonment )

I am gradually working through my drabble prompts. If you're requested something and you've not seen it yet, I will get to you, I promise.

This batch I decided to take those requests for State of Play, to celebrate the placing of the horse of the same name in the top four after I bet on him yesterday at the Grand National. Well that, and hopefully to generate some others to think about writing fic in this fandom to ease the pain of the godawful Hollywood parody that's due out in a couple of weeks...

'Lost in a Lonely World', Cal/Stephen, for karaokegal )

'Persuade Me', Cal McCaffrey/Dan Foster, for xanium )

'Dirty Little Thing', Stephen/Cal, for candesgirl )

Right, second batch of drabbles from the recent prompt request I put out. This time they are all RPF. You know what that means, kids, but I'm gonna spell it out one more time. That means these drabbles are about REAL PEOPLE. If that's your squick, do not click. I am very happy to receive constructive criticism on my writing, but don't bitch about the subject matter. We clear? Good! :)

First times, John Barrowman/Catherine Tate, for 51stcentryfox )

Bananas, John Barrowman/David Tennant, for cruentum )

Stay, John Barrowman/Catherine Tate, for karaokegal )

I would normally post requested drabbles in the comments, but I wanted to keep these somewhere that I could refer others to. Yes, that's right. I am a comment whore. So sue me...

Mistaken Identity, Jack/Clone!Ten, for 51stcenturyfox )

Save a Prayer, Bastard!Jack/Gwen Cooper, for karaokegal )

Filing, Gwen Cooper/Ianto Jones, for cruentum )

I've been out of the writing loop for a bit now, and I feel the need to get back into the swing, and what better way than by seeking prompts and writing some drabbles.

Just so that we're clear, a drabble is EXACTLY 100 words. No more; no less. I will gladly provide you with a drabble of your choosing (or several, should the fancy take you) for any of the following fandoms or pairings or anything else that, knowing me or having read any of my fic, you think I could do. Give me a pairing and a prompt. A word, a thought, a scenario, a song. Anything. Just something to start the creative ball rolling.

Also, feel free to pimp this out to anyone else who you think might be interested, and if you're on my f-list and have never come by and said hi, don't let that stop you from wading in. Requests are welcomed from all-comers.

Drabble me this, drabble me that )

I've been doing things a bit differently this weekend. Drabbling stuff I wouldn't normally write.

I started with a less than conventional pairing.

Title: Expected
Fandom: Life on Mars
Pairing: Sam/Chris
Rating: PG

Sam had suspected this was coming )

Then this evening I followed it up by committing het. And RPF. In a pairing I've never contemplated before. All at once. For the Porn Battle.

Title: Filthy Mouth
Fandom: RPF
Pairing: David Tennant/Catherine Tate
Rating: R

Catherine wasn't his usual type at all )

filthgoblin: (Default)
Title: Not Like This
Author: [livejournal.com profile] filthgoblin
Pairing: Jack Harkness/Ten!Doctor/Simm!Master
Rating: R with bells on.
Wordcount: 100
Warnings: Non-con, without a shadow of a doubt. If that's a squick, do not click.
Notes: Set on the Valiant during the lost year, this notion came up in conversation between myself and [livejournal.com profile] terraswrath talking about the various ways the Master would have found to torment his captives.

Not Like This )

Title: Solid
Fandom: Life on Mars
Pairing: Gene/Sam
Rating: PG-13 to be on the extremely safe side
Word count: 100
Summary: It's only ever a matter of time before Sam ends up slammed against a hard surface...
Author's notes: An unbeta'd drabble of the most embarrassing variety. This is pure crack!fic. In response to [livejournal.com profile] karaokegal 's comment in my Christmas LoM fic about OT3, this perspective on Gene and Sam comes from... the filing cabinet. I'm so, so sorry. *facepalm*

I've been drabbling a lot lately. It feels somewhat more manageable to bash out 100 words rather than try to do a full-blown fic given the level of real-life that's creeping in under the door of the Filthcave, so thought I should probably get some links together so I have track of what I've written.

Title: Lost and Found Out
Fandom: Life on Mars
Rating: Very very brown Cortina (or NC17/R for those not in this particular fandom)
A/N: Written in response to [livejournal.com profile] lifein1973's new weekly drabble challenge. Challenge was to take the last word from the previous drabble and use it as the first word in a new one

Title: Determination
Fandom: Life on Mars
Rating: White Cortina (*gasp*), though there is a mention that someone's in hospital and that someone has a graze on their cheek. I just don't think that I have totally fluffy bunnies inside me, okay?!
A/N: Also written in response to the [livejournal.com profile] lifein1973 weekly drabble challenge, and more specifically in response to [livejournal.com profile] lunadeath02 and [livejournal.com profile] karaokegal's little drabble tree as part of what seemed to be turning into something of a developing story.

Title: Denial
Fandom: Dr Who/Torchwood, Jack/Ten
Rating: NC17+ [there are hints on non-con here, so beware]
A/N: Written for [livejournal.com profile] xanium , in response to my Drabble meme.

Title: Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk
Fandom: State of Play, DCI Bell/Cal McCaffrey
Rating: 15, for smoking and stuff
A/N: Written for [livejournal.com profile] karaokegal, in response to my Drabble meme and to celebrate her new-found State of Play horn.

Title: Need
Fandom: RPS, John Simm/Phillip Glenister
Rating: NC17
A/N: Written for [livejournal.com profile] silvaa, who wanted carpet burns *grins*

Ooh, I've actually been kinda busy with this thing, haven't I?
