Trouble is, I don't know what to write about at the moment. I have an original idea that feels novel-length, or at least a long short story, but it feels overwhelming. I don't know where to start it. The other problem is, I know it won't satisfy my lust for instant gratification and I need that right now.

So, there's only one thing for it. I'm throwing the floor open to you. Inspire me with a prompt to write a drabble or ficlet and I'll see what I can rustle up.

Just so that we're clear, a drabble is EXACTLY 100 words. No more; no less. I'll endeavour to stick to a drabble but reserve the right to run to a ficlet of 100-500 words if I get carried away. I will gladly provide you with a fic of your prompting (or several, should the fancy take you) for any of the following fandoms or pairings. I'll even attempt something original for you if you give me a prompt without a pairing or fandom. A word, a thought, a scenario, a song. Anything. Just something to start the creative ball rolling.

Oh, and if you have any particular objection to smut, let me know. My mind tends to wander *points at username*

I may take a while to get around to them [depending what the uptake is like] but I will write something for every prompt. Feel free to pimp this out to anyone else who you think might be interested, and if you're on my f-list and have never come by and said hi, don't let that stop you from wading in. This batch I decided to take those requests for State of Play, to celebrate the placing of the horse of the same name in the top four after I bet on him yesterday at the Grand National. Well that, and hopefully to generate some others to think about writing fic in this fandom to ease the pain of the godawful Hollywood parody that's due out in a couple of weeks...

I've been doing things a bit differently this weekend. Drabbling stuff I wouldn't normally write.

I started with a less than conventional pairing.
