Hmmm

I'm slightly puzzled. Most days, I have my breakfast at work. Almost always, I have two Weetabix and a sliced banana. Just about every morning someone different in my office passes the same comment - "ooh! That looks very healthy!"

Is what I eat for my breakfast really that different from anyone else, or the health-consciousness of it all that worthy of daily comment? I'd have thought that cereal and fruit would be pretty standard breakfast fare. Or is everyone else having greasy English breakfasts with heaps of white bread and butter these days and I've somehow not noticed?

I'm sure it's just people making conversation. Like passing comment on the weather, or how how quickly/slowly the week is going. But I'm running out of things to say that stop short of "really? What do you have for your breakfast then? Lard filled pop-tarts and clotted cream in your coffee?"

Sometimes I wonder if I should be allowed to socialise. Particularly on days like today when I have a very thin grasp on my inner monologue. Here's hoping I can make it to the end of the day without it leaking out.
