Step One
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love an icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
Surf around your friendslist or just random journals, or holiday_wishes to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

The "potentially doable" list
I'd love if more people visited the Filthcave, and when they came they left comments on my fic. If there's someone you think might like something I've written, send 'em round...

I'd really like comments that are constructive as well as appreciative. It's always lovely to know that someone's enjoyed what I've written, but if I could do it better I really want to know. If you hated it, don't feel that you have to stay silent. If you think a story's good then why is it good? If I've gotten it wrong, or could get it more right with some honing then tell me that too. I won't break if you tell me that you hated something, and you will help me out no end by giving me focus for improvement.

If there's something I should be reading, I'd love a gift of a recommendation of something you're written or something you've come across. My time is increasingly limited and my F-list can help me filter through some of the masses to get to stuff that it really worth my time. Unlike some people I've come across I have no problem with people pimping fic or communities to me. It helps me to get an idea of what's out there and I'm capable of coming to my own conclusions on whether or not I want to read/join something.

I would love it if there were more slash fandoms involving the characters of John Simm. There may be some and I haven't come across them, so if there are, let me know. He is rapidly becoming my slash partner of choice for everyone in the entire world (he's taking over my brain, damnit!), and I'm sure there's more that can be done to expand his presence in fandom.

Some personal fic, written to fit my kinks for my top fandoms would be lovely. Life on Mars, State of Play, New Doctor Who or Muse!slash involving any combination of D/s, bondage, gloves, toys or blood would be very welcome indeed.

And one thing that may be in the hands of a greater power...
I want to see an end to Jack/Ianto fluff in the Torchwood fandom. A total and utter anihillation of anything that suggests that J/I is OTP and they will live together forever and have puppies and curtains or anything of that ilk. I have no problem with canon-friendly fic, but sometimes people can just take canon to the point of twisting characters out of all recognisable proportion.

Unlikely? Impossible? Yeah, I know. But this is a wish list and you can't stop a girl from hoping...
